Mozilla has delayed its plan to prompt Firefox 3.6 users to upgrade to the latest version (7.0.1) to make sure its servers are up to snuff.

The organization had planned to flip a switch so that users of Firefox 3.6 would be prompted to get the latest Firefox (7.0.1) update. That change that would get a large fraction of people onto Mozilla's rapid-release program.

But Mozilla chose to delay the move.

"The previously scheduled (3.6) t0 (7.0.1) advertised update is now postponed while we make sure our server capacity is sufficient for release," said release manager Christian Legnitto in a blog post. "Once the investigation is complete I will communicate a new date well in advance so all stakeholders can plan accordingly."

Running servers for major online services can be tough. Mozilla said yesterday it was having server overload problems for Firefox Sync, a service to keep bookmarks, passwords, tabs, and other settings in step across multiple versions of the browser.

Firefox 7 is one of the new series of rapid-release versions of the browser, with smaller updates now coming every six weeks rather than a dramatically different version coming every year to a year and a half.

Dear Readers,

I am extremely excited to report that last night "The Computer Savvy Weblog" has reached over 800,000 hits/views and counting. I want to thank all my current and past blog membership along with all of our guest guest bloggers.

I also want to personally thank all the hardcore (CSW) readership out there. I want to make a special announcement that our 2 main features "Scam Watch " and " Vs. Reviews".

Although I generally write "Scam Watch". I could not do it with out my faithful band of intrepid researchers. That never want to quit till they root out the evil doers out there.

*I do want to mention Nico our faithful and super detected member of the (CSW) Scam Watch Team. Who has broken all known (CSW) records with his frequently updated and often commented on "Scam Watch" feature. Scam Watch: JustAnswer.com Is It A Scam ? Or Is It Just A Really Bad Investment ?

I would also like to quickly mention our mega popular weekly feature "Fan Mail Friday's". Is stronger then ever with now well over 100 different people on a weekly bases.
